Are silk sheets machine washable?

As a whole, silk needs to be treated with cold water and very little detergent by hand or in a machine on the delicate or silk cycle. Silk should always be washed separately, and pillowcases should be turned inside out. Do not put your sheets in the dryer. Instead, air or line dry them out of direct sunlight.
